Description

Overview The HSE Manager is accountable for leading and embedding PepsiCo Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards at the Ninh Binh Plant during plant setup and ongoing operations. This role ensures full compliance with Vietnam legal requirements and PepsiCo EHS policies, including the effective establishment, implementation, and sustained performance of the Global EHS Management System (GEHSMS). The position partners with Site Leadership, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Contractors to build robust HSE management systems, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and drive a strong safety culture across the plant. The HSE Manager acts as the site HSE authority, responsible for GEHSMS readiness and achievement, incident management, compliance assurance, contractor HSE oversight, and continuous improvement to deliver injury‑free and environmentally responsible operations Responsibilities Maintain and develop, if required, the necessary EHS standards to ensure the environmental, health and safety of associates, visitors and contractors are complying with Pepsico standard and Vietnam laws. Engaged the Contractor Management control system to on site contractor to ensure Zero incident. Co-ordinate the efforts of and coach associates through the development of critical documentation and tools to support risk assessments, safe work practices and adverse event/near miss reporting & investigation. Ensure WWT design and Operation is fully comply with Local regulation and stable operating, and all parameters and management systems are complied with regulatory requirement. Provide EHS direction, assistance and support for corrective actions and recommendations to assure site EHS improvements. Build culture of injury-free attitudes within the site team by demonstrating honest, genuine care and passion for EHS. Develop and implement site workplace inspections and audits to identify work hazards and exposures. Determine trends and action plans and corrective actions. Ensure all regulatory documentation and records are maintained and report Review and assist in the development of new facilities and processes to ensure optimum EHS practices are integrated as part of the change. Be leadership and development of professional and administrative environmental & safety specialists, ensure all environmental programs, procedures, training, work practices and controls are effectively implemented for transmission assets. Managing environmental processes within site operations to assure proper waste management and minimization practices in accordance with regulatory requirements & company standard. Develop environmental regulatory requirements and risk initiatives; analyze potential impacts on system operations; provide operations and upper management with information as appropriate. Ensuring timely environmental technical support to site transmission assets. This support will be provided in the areas of regulatory compliance, reporting, testing, EHS data management, enforcement action response, and regulatory agency mediation. Work closely with site leadership to ensure continual improvement and compliance in EHS activities. Maintain and develop, if required, compliance-related policies and procedures based on EHS and Security requirements.1/ Maintenance activities Establishment & maintain ISO45001 and ISO14001 on site as well as integration to GEHSMS standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Minimum of 8 years of experience in Safety and Environmental Management within a manufacturing environment Strong English communication skills Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritize workload Proven capability to develop trend analysis processes to eliminate accidents and injuries, and to drive environmental management and wastewater treatment (WWT) goals Strong expertise in hazard and exposure identification, auditing, and inspections; experience conducting Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) training and managing related government reporting requirements
