ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

This role provides leadership for all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives at the site. The EHS Manager is responsible for directing site EHS programs, ensuring compliance with national, regional, and local regulations, and maintaining ISO/OHSAS certifications. This role will also lead internal reporting, establish site objectives, and foster a strong, proactive EHS culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in EHS program management, regulatory compliance, and employee training.

    Pay: $115,809.54 - $125,577.08 per year

Responsibilities
  • Lead site efforts to achieve EHS targets aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Develop and drive site-specific goals and initiatives to reduce EHS risks and ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate risk assessments to identify and prioritize critical EHS hazards.
  • Monitor performance using appropriate leading and lagging indicators.
  • Engage site leadership, EHS teams, and employees in ownership of EHS processes and targets
  • Promote a zero-incident culture through team involvement and ongoing awareness initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents, metrics, and regulatory data.
  • Maintain all EHS training programs and compliance documentation.
  • Lead site evaluations and audits to ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and public stakeholders as needed.
  • Support crisis response efforts and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Utilize company systems (e.g., GKAR) for tracking EHS data, corrective actions, and training compliance.
