Please do not share outside of the organization. Your Role: EMD Electronics is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for its manufacturing facility in Branchburg, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the EHS programs at the site. The EHS Manager is accountable for program development & implementation, sustainability, reporting, and auditing that are consistent with local, industry and corporate standards. The EHS Manager shall identify and manage site EHS risks and improve performance in these areas – guiding the Branchburg team on a path towards EHS Excellence. This position will report directly to the Branchburg Site Director and is based at the Branchburg site – requiring a daily on-site presence. Accountabilities: Provide leadership in building a culture striving for EHS Excellence, engaging all employees and developing an interdependent safety culture Manage the site EHS management systems and maintain certifications via internal audits and routine observations: ISO 14001/45001 Manage the implementation of the EMD Electronics EHS strategy on site Lead the site EHS Steering Committee (SC) Serve as the site EHS expert, providing all necessary guidance to stakeholders regarding applicable local code and EMD policy Develop collaborative relationships across the organization to achieve goals on multi‐disciplinary and cross‐functional teams, and influence teams and stakeholders with fact‐based, business value knowledge Responsible for setting of personal objectives, respect of financial budget, coaching and developing of employees and actively communicating workplace EHS topics with employees Manage by walking around (MBWA) – coach the team and foster a culture of trust with stakeholders, build inspired relationships driving actively engaged performance Provide EHS statements/reporting Performance data (KPI) on site level Capital investments Regulatory Recommend process improvements and global best practices to reduce EHS incidents Facilitate investigation of incidents to determine root cause, preventive measures and finally effectiveness Maintain liaisons with outside organizations such as corporate safety, occupational health providers, and emergency response teams to ensure proper response when required Compile, analyze, and interpret site safety data to develop continuous improvement plans Ensure effective execution of BeSafe (behavioral safety) and 6S programs Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in a Technical discipline 5+ years of direct experience in EHS, process safety and or industrial hygiene Experience in safety management processes (LOTO & Energy Isolation, Work Permitting, Electrical, PPE, etc.) Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or related field 10+ years of direct experience in EHS Previous extensive experience in chemical manufacturing and with NJ regulatory requirements Knowledge and experience in statistical methods and continual improvement processes Ability to respond to deviations in the daily work schedule Experience with SAP, CREDIT 360, Microsoft Office suite Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Pay Range for this position: $115,000 - $172,600​ The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
