As an EHS Specialist, you will be a key individual contributor responsible for collaborating with frontline operations to drive a strong safety culture. This role requires excellent relationship management skills, as you will work closely with employees and leadership teams to conduct audits, enforce compliance, and proactively mitigate risks. You will play a vital role in ensuring that safety protocols are adhered to during shifts, making a direct impact on workplace safety and operational excellence. What You Will Do Compliance & Auditing Conduct routine and unannounced EHS audits during operational shifts to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Identify and document non-compliance issues, recommend corrective actions, and track resolutions. Ensure adherence to Taiwan’s occupational health and safety laws, supporting regulatory inspections as needed. Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions. Risk Assessment & Mitigation Perform hazard identification and risk assessments in high-risk work areas. Recommend and implement safety improvements to reduce workplace incidents. Monitor and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Employee Engagement & Training Partner with frontline leaders and associates to promote a proactive safety culture. Deliver EHS training sessions to educate employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures. Serve as a trusted advisor to operations teams, providing guidance on workplace safety improvements. Shift-Based Safety Support Be actively present on the floor during shifts to observe and address safety concerns in real-time. Act as the go-to safety expert for frontline employees, fostering open communication and trust. Lead safety stand-ups, toolbox talks, and shift safety briefings. Data Collection & Reporting Track and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare reports on audit findings, compliance status, and incident trends. Support the development and execution of EHS initiatives based on data insights. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in logistics, manufacturing, or warehouse operations. Class B OSH License. Strong knowledge of Taiwan’s workplace safety regulations and compliance requirements. Experience conducting audits and driving compliance in a fast-paced environment. Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence employees at all levels. Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by operational needs. (Evening shift 17:00-02:00) Preferred Qualifications Certification in workplace safety or occupational health (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, or local equivalent). Experience with EHS digital tools and real-time safety monitoring solutions. Previous experience in a multinational or high-growth environment. Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English.
