We are currently recruiting for the Fabrication Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for Boeing Aerostructures Australia to be based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne on a full-time permanent basis. The role will be responsible for managing and integrating employee activities across more than one environmental, occupational, health and safety discipline. This will include the planning and implementation of environmental, occupational, health and safety programs/processes, environmental property assessment and remediation, chemical analysis, evaluation of chemical processing activities and/or related support functions. Position Responsibilities: Implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Manage, develop and motivate employees to sustain a high level of performance Engage with teams and business partners to develop solutions with regards to cultivating an incident free workplace Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience): 10+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Demonstrated experience managing and leading teams Extensive experience managing environment, industrial hygiene and occupational safety programs Excellent communication skills, able to work across organizational boundaries and build cross-functional partnerships Understanding of building organizational talent, general business acumen, and experience with project management Experience with ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Experience with implementing lean manufacturing principles Dynamic, innovative and like to think outside the square Team orientated, influential and like a challenge An advocate for diversity and inclusion and will be actively involved in leading change Outcome focused and demonstrated strong values-based leadership Systematic and logical problem-solving skills Australian Citizenship to meet Defence security clearance requirements Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience): Tertiary qualification in Environment, Health & Safety or a related technical field is preferred although not essential Additional Information: This is a Non EBA position IJC 7ALKML. Remuneration will be dependent on skills and experience. The successful candidate may be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6 month probationary period.
