We are looking for a talented EHS Site Manager to join our industry-leading Project Delivery and Construction team at our office located in Emeryville, California. In this role, you will assist in maintaining compliance with EHS policies and regulations for engineering services, construction projects, and validation/compliance services. You will also visit client sites to audit and inspect project compliance. Assists in administrative compliance activities as directed. Additional Responsibilities Responsible for jobsite safety oversight. Participate in kick-off meetings to ensure contractors are aware of project-specific EHS requirements. Conduct safety orientation for all new workers. Consults daily with the IPS Superintendent regarding the coordination of safety activities and High Risk Work Permits. Review contractor JSA’s for compliance with client /IPS requirements. Assist in the review of daily Safe Plan of Action (SPA) documents performed by subcontractors and ensure their quality and communication are suitable for the tasks described. Ensure contractor compliance with the project safety plan, including but not limited to safety submittals, training, equipment inspection, and other documentation. Educates and advises the project team on safety guidelines and policies to ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and Local regulations and client requirements. Inspect the job site regularly and record observations in Procore. Assist the Superintendent in managing the IPS SOR program. Administer safety incentive programs. Investigate all incidents and complete all paperwork and reporting required. Maintain safety documentation and records on the project These records include JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Chemical SDS, Safety Inspections, Safety Permits, and any other records that may be generated on the project involving safety. Other duties as assigned. The salary offered for this role is between $119,000 and $183,000, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction Safety or Safety Management. 8+ years of construction safety experience with some pharmaceutical background in a seniority capacity, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified as an OSHA 500 Trainer. Physical Demands Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods. Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required. Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders as necessary. Work Environment Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions. Must be able to adhere to strict cleanroom gowning protocol. Travel You will travel 40% of the time, or as necessary to complete duties. You will visit Client sites and will be required to adhere to stated safety rules. You may be assigned to client for an extended period (1-2 years). Overnight travel is possible. You will focus on construction field activity, and office time will be limited. You will visit construction sites and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules. Safety This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
