Overview:
We are currently looking for an EHS Specialist to join our R&D team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave in Pepsico R&D, Little Island. The R&D facility consists of multi- diverse laboratories and small scale manufacturing. This is a fantastic opportunity for an EHS professional who is passionate about EHS and wants to become part of a results driven team.

Responsibilities:
- Support site R&D Operations with EHS technical guidance to ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements related to EHS and industry best practices
- Promote our culture where all colleagues report near miss/good catch conditions and following up on these reports.
- Manage & coordinate the site training and EHS documentation system.
- Collect data and track monthly performance of EHS Compliance and performance indicators.
- Carry out Accident and Incident Investigation and implementation of corrective actions.
- Lead & co –ordinate Risk Assessments and maintain site risk register.
- Partner with key stakeholders, provide subject EHS matter expertise across the functions.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the Environmental, Health and Safety management system
- Facilitate external audits, follow up actions through to completion including sharing results, key findings etc.
- Conduct internal audits for PepsiCo global compliance.
- Influence and drive EHS culture development across all functions on site through engagement initiatives.
- Lead and/or take part in EH&S projects where applicable.
- Adhere to all environmental, health and safety requirements on site.
Qualifications:
- Health and safety qualification, Chemical Science or Environmental Science Degree.
- EHS experience in a manufacturing industry is preferable.
- Technically strong with an understanding of a variety of EHS topics.
