Description
Twin Eagle Terminals and Logistics, LLC is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to oversee and enhance our safety, health, and environmental compliance programs. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in rail operations, hazmat transloading activities, material sieving processes, and Process Safety Management (PSM). This will be a 100% in-person position located in Big Spring, TX. Includes occasional travel to terminal in Floresville, TX. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to rail, hazmat transloading, sieving operations, and PSM requirements. Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to minimize hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant regulations. Develop, maintain, and manage audit of Process Safety Management (PSM) programs in compliance with OSHA standards for facilities handling highly hazardous chemicals. Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and ensure timely completion of action items. Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence as the. Serve as the primary point of contact during inspections or audits by regulatory agencies and advocate for safety, encouraging open communication and initiative-taking incident reporting. Conduct EHS training sessions for employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety and awareness. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an EHS role, preferably within industrial operations. Firsthand experience with rail operations, hazmat transloading, material sieving processes, and PSM compliance. Strong understanding of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks. Experience developing and managing PSM programs, including PHAs, MOC, and mechanical integrity. Ability to work in industrial and outdoor environments, including rail yards, warehouses, and processing facilities. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in environments with variable temperatures, noise, and dust. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, CHMM, CSP, HAZWOPER) are a plus. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, hazard analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
