Description
In this position the EHS Supervisor will be responsible for: Champion, and lead projects designed to effectively drive improvements in our “Zero Incident Safety Culture” program(s) Drive and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site. Facilitate risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Work with leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks. Partner with other functional support/engineering teams to ensure plant projects, changes, upgrades and modifications adhere to and meet the PROLaunch and MESH “Change Management” processes; assists Operational Excellence engineering team with building and grounds capital projects as required. Support the creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results. Create and facilitate EHS engagement through the Safety Committee, safety related kaizen events, and weekly Gemba walks needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year. Review plant environmental permits and ensure terms and conditions are understood and complied with, ensure required documentation is maintained and required regulatory reports are submitted to the respective agencies, e.g., air discharge permits, storm water discharge permits, local wastewater permits. Create training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion. Participate in the Corporate EHS assessment process. Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field of study from an accredited institution, OR an Associate's degree from an accredited institution, in environmental, health and safety or related field of study with 2 years of leadership experience from an accredited institution OR high school degree with 10 years of experience with 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience. You must be able to work primarily on weekdays from 7am to 4pm or as the work requires. No relocation is being offered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Bachelor's degree in safety, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Health from an accredited institution.
