Description Position: EHS Technician Division: Gebhart Holdings Status: Full Time/Salary Position POSITION SUMMARY: The EHS Technician will work independently while assisting the QEHS Director with managing, training, and organization of the Environmental, Health & Safety for all divisions within the Gebhart Holdings group. REPORTS TO: QEHS Director SUPERVISES: N/A ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Environmental Perform audits to assure compliance Comprehension of all regulatory policies, processes, and permits Air & Waste Sampling SDS Sheets – assist with making sure all are current Weekly/monthly PM’s (spill kits, eyewash stations, storm water inspections, etc.) Conduct training for those responsible for Spills, SWPPP, SPCC plans Health & Safety Assist with compliance of all OSHA requirements and OSHA written programs Knowledge of 5S and Continuous Improvement activities New hire orientation OSHA 300 record keeping Work Comp – assist in investigation of all accidents and proper in-house and/or outside treatment with Insurance carrier Conduct safety and first aid training to educate all employees, as well as manage first aid supplies Develop and implement training materials Conduct monthly EHS, Housekeeping and fleet audits Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate would meet the following training requirements; however, we can also provide this training to a viable candidate: OSHA 30 Hour training/certification, Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors, HAZMAT Training/Certification, CPR/First Aid Certification. COMPETENCIES: Must have a valid driver’s license Self-starter that takes initiative with a high attention to detail Ability to work well with others Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs. Visual Acuity: ability to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
