EHSS Coordinator

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma (GED)
  • Basic familiarity with OSHA regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Microsoft Office)
  • Analytical and familiar with spreadsheets
  • Data Entry experience with top accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation
  • 4 years in manufacturing or warehouse environment in an operations or support role, including technical, administrative and project management required

OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable assistance
  • Ability to wear the proper PPE at all times (safety glasses, safety boots/shoes, etc)
  • Ability to walk around the plant floor consistently
  • Ability to sit/stand in an office environment
  • Ability to spend time around hot machinery
  • Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects, pushing and pulling objects
Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Support incident investigations, document findings, meticulously track and follow-up on corrective action plans to achieve compliance
  • Actively participates in the plant’s efforts to engage the entire workforce to build a strong EHS culture that leads to zero harm to our employees and the environment
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to ensure safe work practices are implemented across operations
  • Support the execution of special safety projects and pilot programs
  • Elevate the plant site safety performance by improving and fostering a safety culture
  • Schedule and conduct fire/tornado drills, alarm tests and record the dates/results for the audits
  • Maintain safety records, data logs, inspection checklists, training rosters and other documents as required
  • Monitor and restock first-aid safety supplies, PPE stations and safety signage
  • Make recommendations for changes to improve the safety culture
  • Follow all safety requirements of this position
  • Abide by all policies and procedures of Dura-Line
  • Additional duties as required by Management
