Description:

The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Risk & Compliance Directorate (GR&C) – Credit & Climate Risk Department (CCRD) – Structured Finance & Equity Division (SFE) – Structured Finance Unit (SFU), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2025)
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Final year of studies or University degree preferably in Finance/Banking or business field with knowledge, or ideally some experience of financial analysis.
- Knowledge or experience in project finance or equity and structured finance would be an advantage
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite, in particular Excel and Power Point applications.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Maintain the Unit’s project finance data base and participate in the monthly analysis of the Bank’s project finance portfolio from a credit risk perspective;
- Prepare and coordinate the Unit’s input into credit risk reporting activities at department level (annual, quarterly risk reports, non-performing exposure reports etc);
- Support the coordination of the annual project finance evaluation exercise;
- Participate in IT and database developments in support of the Unit’s activities if required;
- Market research based on, inter alia, project and structured finance publications and reports and analysis from Rating Agencies within the Unit.
