Description

This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and require regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment.
The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its EIB Global Directorate (GLO) – Partnerships for Impact Department (PFI) – External Action Representation Division (EAR), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st September 2025)

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Final year of studies or University degree in Political Science, Economics, Finance or related studies;
  • Knowledge of the EU and the international institutional and political framework would be an asset;
  • Understanding of the EIB Group’s operations and policies, including its external office activities would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of communication tool, experience in preparing presentations and understanding of community manager role would be an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of another EU language would be an advantage.
Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Head of Division and the Deputy Head of Division in charge, and in cooperation with other members of the team, you will:

  • Support the work of the External Action Policy Officers to help identify and gather Bank-relevant insights and information and contribute to the drafting of various documents, such as reports, memoranda, speeches, presentations and notes;
  • Conduct research on political, press and information aspects and assist in the drafting of briefings for EIB Global Management;
  • Support the work of the External Action Officers to help with the continuous update of processes, procedures and working methods for the establishment and efficient running of External Offices, including the maintenance of an adequate knowledge base and information sharing;
  • Support the communication of the division, by liaising with External Offices and the responsible Communication liaison officer within the Directorate and if needed, drafting intranet articles.
  • Support colleagues of the EAR Headquarters’ team on projects as needed (e.g. organisation of Annual Meetings, preparation of Annual Report…)
