JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the IT Director, the team member will primarily process EIR Accessibility reviews, lead committee meetings, complete accessibility tasks, and participate in engagements with university stakeholders to facilitate accessible EIR across campus. This position supports the University’s efforts to reach and maintain compliance with all State and Federal regulatory requirements. The team member will also work on and support other IT initiatives, projects, and processes as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Experience in IT, procurement, or equivalent experience elsewhere.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to work independently to complete work tasks.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

ACCOMPANYING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Must be able to read and interpret complex documents such as state and federal laws and develop working knowledge of the impact.
  • Must stay up to date on changes to Accessibility laws and communicate these changes to appropriate internal parties.
  • Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.

CLINICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Clinical positions may be required to complete a pre-employment health screening, following a contingent job offer, to determine whether they possess the physical capabilities needed to safely fulfill the specific demands of the position. Additionally, clinical positions require compliance with the University’s Vaccine Preventable Disease Policy.

Responsibilities

Work Accessibility Technology Approval Process Requests:

  • Contact vendors and requestors for Voluntary Produce Accessibility Templates (VPATs).
  • Grade VPATs.
  • Consult with stakeholders.
  • Perform manual tests on software for accessibility.
  • Escalate requests to the EIR Committee as needed.
  • Follow published workflow for approvals.
  • Process EIR Accessibility Exceptions with guidance from the EIR Committee.
  • Prepare for and lead weekly EIR Committee meetings.
