Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Civil/Siteworks Engineer or an Engineer-In-Training (EIT). The role will be under our Infrastructure team in Ottawa which supports municipal and land development projects. The incumbent works with engineers to produce plans and schematics and performs certain basic calculations. You will work on project management, planning and engineering design for commercial and residential development infrastructure (parkings, sewers, watermains, storm water management, etc.). You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and/or in our Ottawa or Gatineau offices. Primary Responsibilities Participate in the design and production of plans possibly using AutoCAD for land development projects Quantity calculation and design optimization Assist the project team in the design of drinking water, sewer and urban technical networks, site grading, drainage, storm water management and more Ensure plans comply with current guidelines, specifications, codes, regulations, and client specific standards Participate in continuous improvement of work methods and processes Qualifications Bachelor's in civil engineering or the equivalent Eligible for OIQ (Quebec) or EIT (Ontario) 1 to 2 years of drafting/design experience within engineering consulting considered an asset. Proficiency in AutoCAD, considered an asset Strong understanding of drafting standards, design concepts, and construction terminology Ability to import, interpret and manipulate field data and create accurate drawings based on this information A working knowledge of topographical surveying considered an asset Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and field service personnel For more information about this job offer, please contact Ibrahima Amadou LY #LI-Hybrid At CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective.
