JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced freelance Wireless Site Survey Engineer to perform a post-validation passive site survey using Ekahau Pro and Sidekick 2 in New York. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Ekahau tools, strong wireless networking knowledge, and at least 2-3 years of experience in conducting wireless site surveys in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a post-validation passive wireless site survey using Ekahau Pro and Sidekick 2.
• Verify and validate wireless coverage, performance, and signal strength against the original design.
• Identify potential coverage gaps, channel interference, and areas requiring optimization.
• Generate comprehensive Ekahau survey reports, including heat maps and recommendations.
• Collaborate with remote teams if required to review findings or clarify
• requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Ekahau Pro and Sidekick 2.
• Proven experience in passive wireless site surveys and Wi-Fi post-validation projects.
• Solid understanding of wireless standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF behavior, and WLAN design.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Must possess or have access to: Ekahau Pro software license, Ekahau Sidekick 2 device.
• Fluent in English or Spanish (bilingual is a plus).
• Legally eligible to work in Panama or have required work permissions.

Project Deliverables:

• Detailed post-validation survey report
• Heatmaps (Signal Strength, SNR, Interference, Channel Overlap, etc.)
• Summary of recommendations and coverage findings
• Ensure all deliverables are submitted accurately and on time.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $700.00 - $800.00 per day
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
