Additional Information About the Role BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time EKG Tech for Parkland Heart Health Center (1155 Hazel Lane, Farmington, MO) Position Details: Day Shift Hours: Mon-Fri (8am-4:30pm) Responsibilities: preparing patients for Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing, EKG interpretations, maintaining the EKG system Working alongside Nuclear Medicine technologists. Parkland Health Center has two locations in St. Francois County, Missouri – a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. In addition, Parkland’s Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services, an infusion center, a wound care clinic, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep study. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs a variety of procedures in cardiology including preparing patients for stress testing, EKGs, transcribing EKG interpretations, maintaining the EKG management system, Holter monitor hookups and disconnects, Holter checks, patient care and assessments in cardiopulmonary rehab, and assisting the cardiologists as necessary. Responsibilities Performs general office duties. Performs cardiology tests and procedures. Ensures all equipment is cleaned, stocked, available, and kept in working order. Supports and demonstrates the continuous improvements of quality and service. Ensures charges are entered correctly and timely. Responsibilities

The EKG Tech prepares patients for Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing and performs EKG interpretations while maintaining the EKG system. They work alongside Nuclear Medicine technologists and ensure all equipment is in working order.
