Job DetailsJob Location: University (LLC) - Champaign, IL 61820Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $17.73 - $24.38 HourlyJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: LaboratoryChristie Clinic's department of Laboratory is seeking a full-time EKG Technician/Phlebotomist at the University clinic in Champaign between the hours of Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm, with occasional Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm. This position may require occasional travel to other clinics to support the laboratory department. Duties include the performance of phlebotomy and EKG testing and other related exams on patients according to established standards and practices. Job Qualifications and ExpectationsJOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.) Perform venipuncture, for all age groups Perform EKGs Perform Lab safety audits Inventory Management of general lab supplies Maintain lab records and files Perform related work as required. Train new personnel, if needed Potential for travel to other lab locations. Mileage will be reimbursed after employee submits to supervisor. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school or equivalent. Completion of phlebotomy and EKG course (Can be substituted by one year’s experience) CPR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year: EKG Technician/Phlebotomy TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 35 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a laboratory setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases and electric hazards. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
