Description
Operates an electrocardiograph machine to record electromotive variations and impulses of the heart for use in the diagnosis of heart disorders. Performs Stress Tests, Holter Monitors, and resting electrocardiograms. Monitors patients while they are undergoing the test. Operates ECG equipment and processes ECG data for physician interpretation. Obtains recordings of cardiac Electro-physiology, including electrocardiograms, Holter monitoring, and stress tests. Performs clerical duties including entry and retrieval of patient records from computerized database and distribution of test results. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Other Graduate of Medical Assistant or Secondary Cardiovascular program. Completion of course in EKG, VCG, phonocardiogram Preferred or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required Experience General Experience in Basic Arrhytmia recognition Required Licenses Basic Life Support Required
