This is an Hourly position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The EKG/Telemetry Tech functions as a member of the Patient Care Team. The EKG/Telemetry Tech is responsible for testing, observing, monitoring, and interpreting patients EKG rhythms in conjunction with the established departmental policies and procedures. Duties may vary slightly by assigned shift. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Licenses/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association Experience: ​ Must successfully complete EKG training upon hire. Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ​ Education: Associates Degree Experience: EKG or direct patient care experience Other requirements/information: ​ Work requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively with other members of the Patient Care Team, in person, by telephone and computer messaging, at a level generally acquired through completion of a high school education. Analytical ability necessary to prioritize own work load to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Completing and Passing EKG class, as well as passing EKG competency every 12 months.
