ASIC maintains over 30 legal registers, including the Companies and Business Names registers, which hold details for more than 3.2 million companies and 2.7 million business names. These registers are a vital source of information for businesses, professionals, government and the public across Australia. Users rely on the ASIC Registry to register, update or cancel business details and access public information, making our support essential to ensuring accurate and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing external relationships whilst overseeing Registry’s electronic systems and services, continuing to drive improvements and resolution of issues.

  • Location: Traralgon, VIC (approximately 2 hours east of Melbourne)
  • Salary starting from $127,641 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuation
  • Temporary 18-month role (ending 27 March 2027) with possible extension

THE ROLE

As an EL1 Business Analyst you will:

  • Lead and manage a team to deliver business priorities
  • Represent Registry in law reforms, strategic projects and stakeholder engagement
  • Oversee electronic systems and drive improvements, resolving issues as needed
  • Manage priority system incidents, coordinating business response, communications and resolution with IT and stakeholders
  • Enhance online support services and manage IT schedules for system updates and enhancements
  • Support external stakeholder relationships including applications for access to ASIC’s online services
  • Resolve complex enquiries various sources of information including data reports, system performance and stakeholder input
  • Communicate complex information clearly and professionally across varied audiences
  • Conduct service design discovery activities
  • Engage with industry groups, professional bodies and internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration
  • Facilitate workshops todevelop business requirements and functional specifications
  • Plan and oversee user acceptance and production testing activities
