Location: El Paso, TX Teleworking: No Travel Requirement: No Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt Position Overview: In this role, you will continue to provide essential security or support services to maintain the safety and integrity of an immigration processing and custodial facility. This position demands constant vigilance, a commitment to state and federal compliance, and the ability to maintain composure while ensuring the secure operation of the facility and its logistics. Responsibilities: * Adhere to all established safety and security protocols to ensure a controlled and secure environment. * Execute all duties in strict accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility-specific policies and procedures. * Monitor activities within the facility and maintain accurate, timely logs or reports regarding operational status or safety concerns. * Interact with a diverse population using sound judgment, cultural sensitivity, and professional communication to de-escalate potential conflicts. * Remain vigilant and prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations or changing facility needs in a high-pressure environment. Required Qualifications: * Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization. * If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition. * Must consent to fingerprinting. * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening. * Ability to pass a preemployment medical assessment and drug screening. * Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills. * Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations. * Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work Environment and Location: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise. Physical Demands: The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
