YOUR OPPORTUNITY. BE PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of Elders and older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people? As an Elder Care Community Connector, you’ll play a vital role in raising awareness about aged care entitlements and ensuring clients have access to the services they need. You’ll connect with communities, support clients through My Aged Care processes, and advocate for their needs while building meaningful relationships with families and local agencies. If you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity to create positive change and improve the lives of those in your community, we’d love to hear from you!
This role is a part-time, fixed term position until 30 June 2026.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the unique challenges faced by Yolngu people in remote areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, established relationships with Yolngu and Miwatj communities, and the ability to speak an Aboriginal language or knowledge of traditional kinship systems. Experience working with older people, a willingness to learn about aged care services and reporting, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. A valid NT Driver’s Licence is also required.
