Description
Overview Responsible for the planning and development of a variety of social and recreational activities based within a busy senior center. Responsibilities Responsible for the planning and implementation of a variety of special events and trips for senior citizens. Responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the senior center. Assist in the provision of information & referral, advocacy, and crisis intervention services. Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts for all center activities. Coordinate services with other providers within the community. Maintain accurate records pertaining to all center activities. Perform related work as required. Minimum Entrance Qualifications 1-2 years of experience working in Human Services preferred. Prior experience working with senior citizens in a social/recreational setting. Prior experience working in a community-based human service agency. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends. Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
