Primary objective
Manage and coordinate, design and develop eLearning projects including the online learning modules, surveys, and evaluations to
meet Departmental learning objectives.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide training and support to staff and other stakeholders regarding eLearning content development, tools and techniques.
2. Design and develop and manage of a range of eLearning projects in accordance with organisational priorities.
3. Research, review and implement educational technologies to enhance learning and assessment within the Department.
4. Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to design, develop and review eLearning courses with interactive content,
including quizzes, simulations, and videos.
5. Design engaging, user-friendly eLearning modules using contemporary instructional design methodology, including the
creation of story boards for the purpose of communicating course outline concepts with stakeholders.
6. Manage the administration and monitoring of eLearning courses hosted the Departments Learning Management System.
7. Develop procedural and / or training resource materials to support the development of eLearning.
8. Contribute as a team member and work across business units on a range of eLearning and education training projects to ensure
targets and priorities are met within required timeframes.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated project management experience, including the development, management, and implementation of project plans.
2. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience in engaging with stakeholders to design and develop online
learning courses and related support learning materials (such as story boards).
3. High level computer literacy and proficiency, including experience in the use of multimedia software, specifically eLearning
authoring tools to create SCORM files, and the design and development of eLearning courses.
4. Demonstrated self-initiative, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a broader team to meet deadlines.
5. Experience in procurement and contract management requirements and practices (or ability to acquire).
6. High level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate complicated concepts, selecting
language and tone in a way that is easily understood by and appropriate to the target recipients.
7. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent experience).
Desirable
1. Formal qualifications in eLearning, instructional design, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience and education.
2. Experience in the use of Articulate Storyline authoring software (or similar authoring software).
3. Experience in the management of Learning Management Systems.
