Your position and responsibilities

• As an electrical engineering intern, you will assist the test and design engineer of machine-human interfaces for mine hoist systems. You will be part of ABB Canada’s Process Automation, Process Industries division and will be based in our Saint-Laurent office.
• Testing of winch control and supervision systems
• Testing of SIL 3 brake control systems for winches
• Development of operator interface for hoisting systems (ABB mine hoists)
• Installation of software for operator interfaces and system maintenance computers
• Help develop and maintain winch control and supervision systems
• Writing and updating technical documentation and operating manuals

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION

• Electrical engineering student.
• General programming knowledge.
• PLC experience an asset.
• Good communication skills, able to approach others with questions.
• Proactive in work.
