Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Electrical and Controls Supervisor, you will supervise the installation and assembly of electrical and pneumatic control systems. You will work with the current engineering team to build wiring and pneumatic piping, as well as commission systems.

SPECIFICALLY, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Providing electrical support for projects and interpreting schematics and technical documentation.
  • Fault-finding electrical control circuits and managing daily activities of fitters and apprentices.
  • Offering hands-on support during installations, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Testing low-voltage electrical power and control cables and maintaining various components like sensors and motor starters.
  • Programming motor drives and safety scanners, and coordinating with engineers and project managers.
  • Keeping accurate records of work and assisting with stock control of components and tools.
  • Enforcing health and safety standards, supporting team training and development, and completing minor administrative tasks.
