About The Role: Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will be responsible for executing the planned maintenance and repairs safely, effectively, and efficiently to support the asset maintenance strategy and long-term asset plan. You will focus on continuous improvement to drive costs down to invest in brownfield growth that is justifiable with a focus on keeping the assets / plants sustainable.   Employee Benefits:  Live, Work and Play in one location Attractive Roster supporting a work-life balance Proactive Team Based Culture Career development and personal growth opportunities On the job training for competencies and accredited training State Government investment   Domestic Relocation included for those residing outside of Whyalla, which includes: o    Uplift of goods and relocation allowance (for individuals and immediate family)o    Travel and temporary accommodation (up to 4 weeks) o    DIDO Option Available (for Port Augusta, Quorn or Cowell residents)   Key Responsibilities: Lead the maintenance and operational team as required in the day-to-day performance of electrical related equipment, and manage the non-process infrastructure Maximise the ratio of electrical proactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance tasks to breakdown maintenance tasks Maintain integrity through planning process and ensure work is aligned with plant requirements Troubleshoot daily plant and equipment issues through application of trades skills and fault-finding techniques Foster a work environment and culture with strong focus on safety across the team Develop an annual budget (R&M, Capital, and major repairs) that supports the maintenance strategy  Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are safely managed and completed on time and within the approved budget   About You: Electrical trade or Electrical tertiary qualifications  Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of maintenance planning, supervision and maintenance leadership in a mining, process plant or heavy manufacturing industry Experience in front-line leadership or supervisory role SAP experience highly regarded About Us: SIMEC Iron Ore South Australian operations consists of two primary sites: Iron Baron and the Southern Middleback Ranges, located in proximity to the coastal township of Whyalla.
