JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer leads electrical engineering support of plant issues that are impacting production over a short period of time. Acts as the technical expert responsible for resolving equipment based or repair technique-based issues, which impact the availability and maintainability of the facility. Serves as subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. Provides input to MIQA process. Performs regular field assessments of equipment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience working in a similar role as engineer or technician
• Skilled in creating/reviewing technical procedures (Standard Practice, Standard Operating Procedures)
• SAP working knowledge for Bill of Materials improvement
• Maintenance (cost, asset utilization and) goal alignment
• Defining scope of work for projects
• Root cause analysis (RCA)
• Proficient in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and Siemens adjustable speed drives and associated I/O
• Proficient in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs and associated I/O
• Proficient in reading and understanding electrical drawings, schematics, and machine control diagrams
• Low voltage electrical power distribution experience is a plus
• Familiarity with the National Electric Code, arc flash hazard analysis, and machine guarding is a plus

Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
