Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Planner to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working either a 4-3 (Mon – Thurs) or 7/7 rotation.

As part of the Maintenance Team, the Electrical and Instrumentation Planner is responsible for developing and optimizing maintenance plans, schedules and strategies related to electrical and instrumentation systems as well as assist maintenance teams to minimize downtime, enhance equipment performance and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Red Seal Industrial Electrician and/or Instrumentation certification.
  • 3+ years in E&I maintenance planning in mining or heavy industry.
  • Proficient in CMMS and scheduling software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of E&I safety regulations and best practices.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, physically demanding environments.
  • Experience with asset management software and predictive maintenance tools.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to assess E&I equipment needs.
  • Develop maintenance plans, scopes, and resource requirements.
  • Prioritize activities based on equipment criticality and operations.
  • Coordinate maintenance with production schedules.
  • Maintain equipment database with specifications, history, and inventory.
  • Implement condition monitoring and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies.
  • Review and develop safety procedures, risk assessments, and permits.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and inspections.
  • Generate reports and KPIs on uptime, costs, and schedules.
  • Provide technical support during equipment failures.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve maintenance processes and reliability.
  • Assist in long-term equipment replacement and improvement planning.
