Instrumentation Technician Responsibilities & Duties

• Install, maintain, repair, and calibrate complex instrumentation systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation problems and determine appropriate repairs
• Work with engineers and other technicians to identify and resolve technical issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of instrumentation systems and repair history
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry advancements and technologies

Instrumentation Technician Qualifications & Skills

• Certification in instrumentation technology or related field
• Experience in industrial and/or manufacturing settings
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Associate’s or technical degree in Instrumentation Technology or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems
• Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
• Proficient in using test equipment and diagnostic tools
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
