Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Spencer & James are seeking for a highly organized and safety-conscious Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to oversee site safety protocols, manage permitting processes, and ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules and industry standards. This role is essential for maintaining a secure, efficient, and well-documented work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uphold and enforce safety guidelines and best practices across all site activities.
  • Prepare and manage safety permits, including isolations, and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Verify all isolations are double-locked by relevant parties and maintain up-to-date isolation records with photographic evidence.
  • Keep detailed site logs, including permits, lock and key registers, and LV records, updated daily.
  • Perform routine safety inspections, including weekly Yellow Jack reviews, and monitor compliance with quality standards.
  • Participate in daily briefings and high-risk activity meetings as needed.
  • Update schematics to reflect current isolation statuses and manage project documentation
  • Train and supervise team members, ensuring they meet required competencies and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Record and report all incidents, accidents, and near-misses promptly and in line with company guidelines.
  • Conduct safety checks and maintain quality assurance to create a secure and effective work environment.
