Description Position Summary The Electrical Apprentice assists licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or residential settings. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience while working toward licensure in the electrical trade. The apprentice will learn industry standards, safety practices, and technical skills through on-the-job training and formal instruction. Key Responsibilities Assist electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams under supervision Measure, cut, and assemble conduit and wiring Pull wire and perform basic terminations Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures at all times Troubleshoot basic electrical issues with guidance from licensed electricians Support testing and inspection of electrical systems to ensure compliance with codes Document work performed and assist with job reports as needed Travel to job sites as required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program (preferred) Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools (preferred) Strong willingness to learn and take direction Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Skills & Competencies Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication skills Time management and reliability Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various weather conditions Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Work Environment Construction sites, mechanical rooms, and occupied buildings Exposure to electrical systems, heights, and varying temperatures Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
