OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the supervision of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist with various electrical tasks on commercial and industrial projects, contributing to the successful completion of installations and repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with electrical tools, including hand tools and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
  • Experience on construction sites is a plus; knowledge of construction practices is beneficial.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
  • Strong willingness to learn from experienced professionals in the field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform tasks such as wiring, circuit installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Support experienced electricians in high voltage and low voltage electrical work, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Participate in construction site activities, including frame carpentry when necessary, to facilitate electrical installations.
  • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
