About the Role Michael Bonsby HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical is looking for an Electrical Apprentice who can diagnose issues, and perform installations, repairs and maintenance of electrical equipment, wiring and electrical systems. This person will be primarily responsible for residential work for homeowners and will work with homeowners from beginning to end. This is a full-time role that will report into the company’s Electrical Service Manager and be based out of our growing Gaithersburg, MD office. What You’ll Do Assist the lead Electrician in electrical installations, repairs and maintenance Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment and arrange them at the work site Work alongside the Electricians and follow their instructions Interpret electrical blueprints Participate in training, meetings and company events Have or be willing to get any proper certifications as needed We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation practices a plus Knowledge of ServiceTitan a plus Strong organization and attention to detail skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record Working Conditions/Physical Demands Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls, hear, and talk Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons Benefits and Perks: Michael Bonsby HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical treats its team members with the same level of dedication and care as we do our customers, which is why we’re fortunate to provide all of our employees with: Competitive Pay Benefits: We offer top-notch benefits!
