JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrical Apprentice supports licensed electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments. The role is intended as a learning position where the apprentice will gain practical experience and classroom instruction in preparation for journeyman-level certification.

• Assist electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools and power tools.
• Pull wire through conduit and make connections to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings under supervision.
• Prepare and maintain tools and materials needed for daily tasks.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes under guidance.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations and company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle (if applicable).
• Attend and participate in required apprenticeship training and meetings.
• Keep records of completed tasks and hours worked to support licensure progress.
