JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler for a full-time opportunity at a leading electrical manufacturing facility located in Perth, Ontario. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring both standard and custom control assemblies, as well as performing functional and electrical testing to ensure product quality and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly role
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada (no sponsorship available)
  • Must reside within an 80-kilometer radius of Perth, Ontario (relocation not provided)
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and perform testing with training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two-year college diploma in a related technical field
  • Experience operating milling, drilling, or similar machining equipment
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative work style
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new processes
  • Solid attention to detail and strong work ethic

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of control panels and components
  • Determine wiring layouts and sequences based on specifications
  • Conduct functional testing to verify proper assembly and operation
  • Adhere to CSA, UL, and Canadian Electrical Code standards
  • Actively participate in safety programs, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve workflow and product quality
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
  • Follow environmental and ethical standards in accordance with company policies
