Our mission: To provide the best value to our customers through quality products, honest people, industry-leading practices and a commitment to excellence in animal-care and all we do Core Values: Trust, Teamwork, Integrity, Commitment, and Respect General Responsibilities/Job Summary The entry level electrician assistant is responsible for assisting the complex electrician with installing and maintaining electrical systems. Prior knowledge and experience is not required for this entry level position. Requirements Essential Functions/Duties · Install rough wiring and finish wiring including but not limited to receptacles, light fixtures, · final connections to motors and exit signs. · Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations · The ability to use electrical materials, tools, and test instruments · Gathering and running materials needed for the job · Help with pulling wires · Installation and running of PVC and EMT conduits · Install and inspect panel boxes and breakers · Read blueprints and technical diagrams · Assist IT in running wiring and setting up equipment as needed · Good housekeeping practices · Ensure quality standard performance · Document all related maintenance in applicable logs · Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management Minimum Qualifications Education/Training: · High School Diploma or GED equivalent Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: · Education in or some electrical experience desired but not required · Strong understanding of measurements and using a tape measure · Willing to be Arc Flash Certified · Some understanding or willing to be trained of Current Electrical Code Requirements in residential, and/or commercial, and/or industrial applications · Demonstrate mechanical aptitude related to various trades preferred · Detail and Team Oriented · Able to read, write, speak, and understand English · Ability to learn GMP and Safety programs. · Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record Experience: · Experience working with industrial electricity, refrigeration and mechanical systems preferred but not required Certification/Licenses: · Valid Driver’s License Travel Requirements: N/A Physical and Mental Job Requirements · Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk throughout the plant · Visual acuity required for working with various machines and equipment · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions Plant environment including potentially high levels of noise, slippery floors and temperature extremes. Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be able to pass E-Verify
Responsibilities
