Description
Job responsibilities: Coordinate the electrical build of custom machine projects from release of prints, panel wiring, machine wiring, debug and installation Oversee project lead personnel by providing support and guidance Request and oversee all electrical contractors Ensure all electricians are completing tasks as required Ensure and maintain project timelines Organize electrical areas (Panel shop and Field area) Assist in start-up and de-bugging of machines Troubleshoot equipment – as required Maintain SPM and customer standards Help maintain and track current stock of consumables Train staff in terms of procedures, assembly methods, etc. Liaise with Controls Manager for guidance/direction/wiring best practices, etc. Manage HR functions for reporting subordinates including but not limited to conducting performance reviews, ensuring required training is given and monitoring and approving timesheets Knowledge, skills and abilities 442A or 309A Industrial Electrician License Highschool/GED certificate required Relevant Computer skills – MS Office programs, ERP Systems Good background in electrical schematic reading, component layout, wiring methods, electrical machine assembly, routing, strain relief, trouble shooting and problem solving Good working knowledge of electrical standards, machine controls, sensors and safety devices Must be able to troubleshoot equipment in all facets of the electrical control system and devices Must have good communication and organizational skills Maintain a clean and safe environment Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and methods in the field of industrial automation. Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues. Ability to think critically and propose effective solutions. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
