JOB DESCRIPTION

For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.
For the HPC and SZC project, we are looking to recruit for the role of Electrical Contract Engineering Lead to support the development of the electrical discipline within EPR-E.

As the Electrical Contract Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for the technical oversight of an electrical equipment procurement contract. You will be part of an engineering team and supported by some senior engineer and experts when required. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the client organisation on all matters related to the electrical equipment contract and providing technical support to resolve issues.
  • Overseeing the technical management of suppliers and supporting the client in its contractual relationship with them during the execution phase—particularly in relation to schedule compliance, costs, scope of supply, and technical studies.
  • Reviewing supplier documentation in line with technical standards, ensuring timely delivery with the appropriate level of quality, and coordinating input from various contributors.
  • Coordinating the work of technical leads, system engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure documents and topics are handled within deadlines.
  • Producing and managing comment sheets to be sent to suppliers via a dedicated tool, and organising clarification meetings when necessary.
  • Managing contract modifications and informing suppliers via Contract Transfer Sheets (CTS), sent to the client through dedicated tools.
  • Serving as the main contact for all modifications and impact assessments related to the contract scope, including technical issues or non-conformities arising from site activities.
  • Managing risks, opportunities, open points, and contract changes in collaboration with the client.
  • Handling interfaces with all Edvance disciplines involved in providing input data relevant to the low-voltage switchboard contract.
  • Managing interfaces with Edvance teams that rely on the detailed design of the electrical equipment contract.
  • Coordinating with the qualification team based in Edvance France.

Monitoring all Delivery to Site (DTS) dates for the equipment.

PROFILE

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification,
  • Experience in work related to electrical distribution components and technical documentation review,
  • Ability to effectively manage own workload in order to produce high quality documents and respect deadlines,
  • Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management proven experience,
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both written and orally, in English,
  • Proactive and confident in communicating with others, particularly those based in remote offices including France,
  • Proactive in developing positive working relations with others within the project,
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to improve quality of engineering studies and the subsequent documentation produced.

Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills,

  • Relevant experience in the nuclear industry
  • Knowledge of EPR electrical distribution design principles, Instrumentation and Control architecture and Safety Classification,
  • Knowledge of the RCC-E electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909)
  • Experience of working on an operating plant or on an industrial site,

  • English fluent (required)
