ELECTRICAL CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Control System Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for a wide range of industrial applications. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Similar
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical control system design for industrial applications.
  • Proficiency in creating schematic designs using Eplan and/or AutoCAD Electrical software.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, including relays, breakers, and control devices.
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulations relevant to electrical control systems (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 61131).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical control systems for various industrial applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Create detailed schematic designs using Eplan and/or AutoCAD Electrical software.
  • Analyse client requirements and translate them into functional electrical control system designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical control systems with other components.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to optimise system performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of electrical control systems to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing and installation teams during the implementation phase.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical control system design.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project requirements and propose solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing electrical control systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team.
