CURIS System is a growing Bio-decontamination company specializing in integrated systems for the Life Sciences, BioPharma and Healthcare facilities and installing bio-decontamination equipment nationwide. We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of: Design and operation of controls, using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI), including designing, creating, and troubleshooting these systems. Low and high-voltage basics National and international wiring standards and able to ensure compliance with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) standards for electrical safety. Soldering techniques for electrical components and systems. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawings. Preferred Skills: Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality and safe electrical designs and installations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to quality and safety. Excellent problem-solving skills. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with team members. Basic understanding of HVAC, Plumbing and pipework, Sterile spaces Responsibilities Design, install and configure PLC and HMI systems to operate communicate and operate with decontamination equipment. Assemble and wire low-voltage control panels according to provided schematics and engineering specifications. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and improve control panel designs and assembly processes. Design, develop, and install electrical systems and components to required specifications. Create wiring diagrams and schematics, completing the wiring as specified, ensuring compliance with wiring standards and UL standards. Complete required documentation and reports accurately and promptly. Test and troubleshoot control panels to ensure proper functionality and performance. Analyze electrical systems and schematics for potential improvements or troubleshooting. Up to 25% travel to customer sites required.
Responsibilities
The engineer will design, install, and configure PLC and HMI systems for bio-decontamination equipment. They are also responsible for assembling control panels, creating wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical systems at customer sites.
