Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
Job Description
-As the Electrical Coordinator: Longwall, you will be responsible for the coordination of all electrical maintenance activities and resources on the Longwall at Moranbah North Mine.

Role requirements:

• Maintain electrically safe and productive equipment in accordance with maintenance strategies
• Execute the daily electrical plan for the Longwall
• Lead and collaborate with your team of electricians to deliver optimal performance with high morale
• Ensure compliance with all people, safety, technical, operating and business systems, behaviours and culture in your area
• Act as the on-shift focal point for the implementation and leadership of continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyse performance data to identify and prioritise areas for improvement.
• Collaborate and work with your colleagues in Operations, Mechanical and Planning to safely deliver the longwall plan
• Collaborate and build strong relationships across a range of both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• -Electrical Trade qualification or Electrical Engineering degree (required)
• Knowledge of relevant mining legislation and its application
• Demonstrated experience working in underground coal mines on longwalls is essential
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance in a safe and productive manner
• Display ability to be able to collaborate and communicate across different levels of the organization
• Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Experience with SAP or other computerised maintenance management systems
• An intermediate skill level with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
