1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a closely related field with a focus on electrical design.

3. EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within the electromechanical contracting or related industries.
• Proven experience working on:
• High-rise buildings
• Commercial projects
• Large-scale infrastructure developments
• Familiarity with project management in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) or electromechanical field is an added advantage.

4. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Design Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux and Amtech
• Deep knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV), and High Voltage (HV).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong grasp of electrical safety systems, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and earthing/grounding systems.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Effective team player with strong coordination skills across engineering and project management teams.

5. KNOWLEDGE OF LOCAL STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS

• In-depth knowledge of UAE construction codes and electrical standards
• DEWA Regulations
• NFPA (National Fire Protection Association)
• BS 7671 (British Standard for Electrical Installations)
• IEC Standards (International Electrotechnical Commission)
• Ability to prepare and ensure designs comply with all applicable local and international safety regulations.
