Role Purpose:

  • To create electrical designs and procure specialist packages in heavy industries

What you’ll be doing

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will have the following accountabilities;

  • Design LV electrical distribution systems
  • Create the following documentation:
  • Specifications & Datasheets
  • Cable Calculations & Schedules
  • Drawings (via CAD team)
  • Review and check manufacturer document / information for compliance withproject specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants andsuppliers.

Who we’re looking for

Qualities and experience:

  • Must be proficient in Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign.
  • Clear focus on collaboration and building relationships with other designers andproject teams to deliver cost effective and acceptable design solution
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and write clearly and succinctly
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design.
  • Excellent IT Skills are desirable.
  • Microsoft Office experience is essential including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Detailed knowledge of codes of practice and other regulatory material.
  • Experience in a broad range of heavy industries such as Petrochemical, PowerGeneration, Renewables and Nuclear.

Beneficial experience:

  • Design of HV electrical systems
  • Use of AutoCAD and/or Revit software
  • Use of Dialux or Relux software
  • Use of SKM, ETAP, Digsilent, PSCAD software
  • Design of ATEX systems
