Description

ABOUT US

Loop Technology are industrial automation experts, specialising in robotics and aerospace. We are based in beautiful Dorchester and have many years of experience delivering state-of-the-art solutions to industry leaders and household names. We have developed a reputation for solving difficult industrial and engineering problems.
Due to a period of growth, we are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

* We are not accepting applications from candidates outside of the UK *
Our new Electrical Design Engineer will design and develop electrical solutions for robot-based, electromechanical systems for use in factory and process automation. Working collaboratively across departments, the Company will rely on your electrical knowledge and expertise to design safe and effective solutions for our clients.
You will ideally have used EPLAN electrical design software and have experience designing industrial control cabinets. Whilst you will be predominantly designing, you may be required to join our workshop team on occasion to get stuck in, fault-find, and identify solutions. Therefore, having previous experience of electrical building would be highly advantageous.
You will need to be an effective communicator, able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, whilst also being able to provide technical detail in both written and verbal English. This will be particularly important when generating and managing technical documentation in line with the Company’s product development process.
The role will involve travel to client sites in the UK, within the defence and aerospace sectors. As a result, the successful candidate will need to be a UK citizen.
