Description
Eaton is looking for an electrical design engineer This position will be located in our plant in Schrems electrical sector (enclosures/power distribution components) Location: Schrems, Austria Key responsibilities: Responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems and assemblies in low voltage applications. This role ensures that all LVSA products meet performance, quality, and safety standards, while supporting manufacturing efficiency and continuous improvement. Design & Development: • Develop and optimize electrical designs for LVSA products, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts. • Select components (switchgear, breakers, relays, busbars, control devices) according to technical, quality, and cost requirements. • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IEC, UL, NFPA, etc.). Manufacturing Support; • Provide technical guidance to production and assembly teams. • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during assembly and testing. • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and System Engineers to ensure seamless integration of components. Quality & Compliance: • Validate designs through testing, simulation, and prototyping. • Review products to ensure adherence to safety regulations and internal quality policies. • Participate in root-cause analysis for defects or failures and implement corrective actions. Process & Continuous Improvement: • Work with Process Engineers to streamline manufacturing steps and reduce assembly time. • Recommend design changes to improve product reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. We would like you to bring: Technical education ( with focus on electrical engineering) Practical experience with electrical design of electrical circuits (low voltage systems) Good English skills Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems, protection devices, and control circuits.
