POSITION SUMMARY

Prisma Integration is seeking an Electrical Design and Drafting Engineer to join our Design Engineering team in Girard, OH. This role focuses on the development of accurate electrical control system designs and drafting deliverables for process automation and system integration projects. The Electrical Design and Drafting Engineer will be responsible for producing control panel layouts, schematics, and bills of materials while collaborating with project engineers and customers to meet project requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in control system design and drafting for industrial automation projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and good knowledge of electrical drafting standards.
  • Familiarity with control system hardware from vendors such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and ABB.
  • Understanding of NEC, UL, and related safety codes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications; ERP familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Develop control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, schematics, and bills of materials using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Prepare cost estimates and assist in the development of customer quotations.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to ensure designs meet customer specifications and project standards.
  • Interface with customers when needed to gather technical requirements.
  • Ensure drawings and documentation comply with applicable NEC, UL, and safety standards.
  • Release accurate design packages for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for design processes.
  • Support capital project execution and documentation requirements.
