Electrical design professionals play a critical role in translating vision into safe, efficient, and resilient systems that support learning, wellness, and connection. About the Role We’re seeking an Electrical Design Professional II who brings strong technical knowledge, curiosity, and collaboration to multidisciplinary project teams. In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and documentation of electrical systems for a variety of project types while continuing to grow your expertise and leadership within a supportive, design-driven environment. What You’ll Do Develop and produce electrical construction documents in coordination with project leads and integrated design teams. Design and document electrical power, lighting, and low-voltage systems including fire alarm, communications, security, and audiovisual systems. Perform field observations and support reports related to existing electrical systems. Research codes, products, materials, and installation methods to support compliant, efficient designs. Coordinate electrical requirements across disciplines to ensure seamless system integration. Perform electrical calculations including energy code, load, fault current, voltage drop, and lighting calculations. Support cost analysis and option evaluations using sound engineering fundamentals. Collaborate with manufacturers and representatives to understand products and installation requirements. Contribute to capturing and supporting the overall design vision of each project. Provide guidance to junior team members and interns as needed. Requirements What You Bring Strong understanding of electrical systems and how they integrate within the built environment. Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and the design and construction process. Experience with Revit-based electrical documentation and coordination. Familiarity with electrical and lighting calculation software such as AGi32, Dialux, SKM, or similar tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting schedule and budget expectations. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Collaborative, professional mindset with attention to detail. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. 6+ years of electrical engineering or electrical design experience in the A/E/C industry. Proficiency with Revit documentation and Bluebeam required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus.
