Are you ready to play a pivotal role in designing cutting-edge electrical control systems for advanced material handling equipment? We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join the team of our client company located in the Humboldt, IA area. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in AutoCAD to create detailed electrical control systems, ensuring the seamless operation of industry-leading products.
As part of our engineering team, you’ll work closely with the Lead Controls Designer and Project Design Engineering Manager to develop systems that meet company standards. From detailed CAD drawings to field assembly plans, your work will directly impact the success of the manufacturing processes. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in electrical design field or related experience preferred
  • Fluid user of AutoCAD required, PLC Ladder Logic is a plus
  • Knowledge of electrical practices. Familiarity with PLCs, motor control circuits and other electrical components
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong math skills
  • Strong work ethic with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail oriented with the ability to perform work accurately in a fast paced environment
  • Must be productive, dependable, resourceful, efficient and professional
  • Good communication skills and time management
Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical drafting and design (CAD) work using AutoCAD
  • Understanding of product lines - function and design
  • Design electrical control systems, per direction from Lead Controls Designer or Design Manager
  • Use and apply company’s drafting standards and best practices
  • Responsible for producing electrical control systems for material handling equipment with detailed drawings for manufacturing and field assembly drawings
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety rules
  • Other duties as assigned
